Prerequisites

You can start right away. What you need: experience in software architecture or software development. Helpful: basic knowledge of large language models (LLMs).

Consider instead Cloud AI Architecture If you have to map the solution onto AWS, Azure or Google Cloud: the three providers' services compared, with network, identities, data storage and cost.

AI Solution Architecture in Detail

Five parts take one case study from requirement to documented decision: first what the solution should do, then patterns and providers, then the connection to data and systems, then security, operation and cost, and finally decision and communication.

01Requirements for AI solutions

This part settles what the solution should do before anyone decides on its building blocks.

01Do I need to code for AI Solution Architecture?
No, tecnovy's AI Solution Architecture does not require coding. You should be able to read and assess architectures, because the work is on designs, decisions and how they are assessed.
02What do participants work on in AI Solution Architecture?
In tecnovy's AI Solution Architecture small groups design the AI solution for a case study built on a realistic use case, in architecture workshops. The designs are then discussed and assessed together in a review.
03Does AI Solution Architecture end with an examination?
No, AI Solution Architecture is a tecnovy course without an examination. With at least 80% attendance you receive the tecnovy certificate of participation.
04Does AI Solution Architecture lead to a certification?
No, tecnovy's AI Solution Architecture leads to no certification; tecnovy offers two routes there as separate courses. The iSAQB assigns its SWARC4AI module 30 of the 70 credit points that admission to CPSA-A certification requires; the certification is awarded through a written assignment and an oral examination. The Microsoft exam AB-100 leads to Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert if you also hold one of the Associate certifications Microsoft lists for it (as of November 2026).
05How deeply does AI Solution Architecture cover security and compliance?
tecnovy's AI Solution Architecture treats security and compliance as cross-cutting concerns of the architecture: you decide where checks, guardrails and compliance requirements apply in the solution. A systematic threat analysis for AI systems is the subject of the tecnovy course Secure AI Architecture.
06How does AI Solution Architecture differ from Building Enterprise AI Apps?
tecnovy's AI Solution Architecture designs and assesses an AI solution at the architecture level without building it. In Building Enterprise AI Apps developers implement an AI application with sign-in, permissions, guardrails and tests themselves.
07What comes after AI Solution Architecture?
Two tecnovy courses go deeper into single areas of AI Solution Architecture. Cloud AI Architecture maps AI solutions onto the services of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and Agentic AI Architecture designs systems of AI agents at enterprise level.
