IREB® Certified Professional Requirements Engineering (CPRE) Courses

CPRE stands for Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering and is developed by the non-profit IREB. It is aimed at professionals in requirements engineering, business analysis, testing, and project management. No technical background is required to get started.

The Foundation Level covers how to identify stakeholders, elicit and document requirements, apply modeling techniques, and manage requirements throughout the product lifecycle. It follows the official IREB syllabus and prepares you for a multiple-choice exam available in 13 languages.

There are no formal prerequisites for the Foundation Level. For the Advanced Level modules, you need a valid CPRE Foundation Level certificate. No specific degree or work experience is required at any level.

CPRE certificates are valid for life. There is no expiration date and no requirement for renewal or recertification.

IREB is the non-profit organization that develops the CPRE certification scheme and defines the syllabus. IREB does not conduct training itself. tecnovy is a licensed IREB training provider that delivers the official curriculum and prepares you for the exam. The exam is administered by independent certification bodies approved by IREB.

Yes. The CPRE exam can be taken remotely as a proctored online exam, supervised via camera and screen monitoring. If you book a tecnovy training with the certification option, we help you coordinate the exam scheduling.

At tecnovy, if you do not pass the exam on your first attempt, you receive a free second attempt (online exam) at no additional cost. Generally, the exam can be retaken up to two times without a waiting period. After three failed attempts, a one-year waiting period applies.
