As an accredited training provider of the International Software Architecture Qualification Board (iSAQB), tecnovy prepares you for CPSA certification with trainers who helped write the curriculum itself. Over 5,000 professionals have already trained with us. Our participants achieve a 98.8% pass rate on the CPSA-F exam. Whether Foundation Level or Advanced Level, you learn software architecture from the people who shaped the field across the DACH region.
What is iSAQB Certification and Why Does It Matter?
iSAQB defines the international standard for software architecture education and professional development. The Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) certification is the de facto standard in the German-speaking world and is recognised by employers as a reliable proof of competence. The certificate is valid for life, comparable to an academic degree.
The certification has two levels. CPSA-F (Foundation Level) covers the fundamentals: design methods, quality assurance, documentation and communication of software architectures. The exam consists of around 40 multiple-choice questions, lasts 75 minutes and requires a minimum of 60% correct answers. CPSA-A (Advanced Level) deepens your knowledge across specialised modules, from Domain-Driven Design and cloud infrastructure to web security. To achieve Advanced Level certification, you collect 70 credit points across individual training modules in three competence areas: methodology, technology and communication.
Why Train for iSAQB with tecnovy?
Our trainer team includes over 30 experienced software architects and consultants, among them two names who helped shape the field itself. Dr. Gernot Starke is a co-founder of iSAQB, co-creator of arc42 and author of "Effektive Softwarearchitekturen", the standard reference for CPSA exam preparation, now in its 10th edition. Dr. Peter Hruschka is also a founding member of iSAQB and IREB, co-creator of arc42 and a member of the Atlantic Systems Guild. In selected training courses, you learn directly from the authors of the literature that the exam questions are based on.
Beyond trainer expertise, tecnovy offers concrete guarantees for your certification journey. If you do not pass the CPSA-F exam on your first attempt, we cover the cost of your second try. And if you want to reinforce what you learned, you can repeat the same iSAQB training within one year at no extra cost. This is not marketing. It is our commitment, because we stand behind the quality of our training.
Your Path to Certification: Foundation and Advanced Level
Start with Foundation Level: The CPSA-F training runs three to four days, available online, on-site or in a hybrid format. You work through concrete case studies, practise architectural design in groups and go into the certification exam with targeted preparation. Our 98.8% pass rate speaks for itself.
Continue with Advanced Level: tecnovy offers 17 Advanced Level modules, from IMPROVE and REQ4ARC to DDD and FLEX, through to WEBSEC and FUNAR. Each module brings you closer to the required 70 credit points. You choose the modules that match your role and day-to-day project work, building an individual competence profile as a software architect.
