What is UXQB?
UXQB is the International Usability and UX Qualification Board, the board behind the CPUX certification programme. CPUX stands for Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience.
CPUX-F is the Foundation Level. It establishes a shared basis for terms, processes, and outcomes in human-centred design, usability, and user experience. This makes CPUX-F suitable for people entering UX, refreshing UX knowledge, or wanting to speak more clearly about user needs and design within product teams.
Beyond Foundation, the CPUX scheme builds up: three Advanced modules each deepen one focus area - User Requirements Engineering, Usability Testing & Evaluation, and Designing Solutions. All three together plus a portfolio and interview lead to the CPUX-Master. tecnovy focuses on the Foundation entry point.

No. According to UXQB you need no prior UX knowledge or UX experience for CPUX-F. Experience helps but is not a prerequisite.

04 How does the CPUX-F exam work?
The CPUX-F exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. Each question has one, two, or three correct answers. You pass with at least 70 percent of the points.

05 Is the exam fee included in the course price?
No. At tecnovy the exam fee is currently not included in the course price. The exam is booked separately via an independent certification provider.

06 Can I take the CPUX-F exam online?
Yes. Theoretical CPUX exams can be taken remotely via online exam software or at a Pearson VUE test centre.
