01Do I need to have taken the beginners training first?
No, it is not required: the tecnovy Claude Code Advanced training assumes you already use Claude Code for your own tasks and handle Git and the command line with confidence. If you lack that practice, the one-day Claude Code Training for Beginners lays the groundwork.
02How do skills differ from custom slash commands?
Very little now: Claude Code has merged custom commands into skills, so a file in .claude/commands/ and a skill in .claude/skills/ both create a /name command (as of November 2026). A skill can also carry supporting files, and Claude Code loads it by itself when it fits the task unless you set disable-model-invocation: true. In the tecnovy training you decide for each routine who starts it.
03Why hooks, if the rules are already in CLAUDE.md?
Because Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md as context, not as enforced configuration, while a hook runs every time at its point. A PreToolUse hook can therefore block edits to protected files whatever Claude decides (as of November 2026). In the tecnovy Claude Code Advanced training you write hooks for formatting and tests after changes.
04Does this work with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI?
For GitHub there is the Claude Code GitHub Action, which responds to @claude in issues and pull requests or runs a fixed prompt on a GitHub event you choose. The GitLab CI/CD integration is maintained by GitLab and, according to Anthropic, still in beta (as of November 2026). Both build on the non-interactive mode claude -p, which the tecnovy training shows in a pipeline example.
05What Claude Code access do the exercises assume?
A Pro, Max, Ultra, Team or Enterprise subscription, a Claude Console account, or access through Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud or Microsoft Foundry; the free Claude plan does not include Claude Code (as of November 2026). In a pipeline Claude Code does not log in through a browser but with the pipeline's own credentials, such as an API key stored as a secret; the tecnovy Claude Code Advanced training covers this in its automation part.
06How does a team share a Claude Code setup?
Through the repository: CLAUDE.md, the project settings in .claude/settings.json with hooks and permissions, and skills and subagents in .claude/ are committed with the code. Personal overrides stay in .claude/settings.local.json, a plugin bundles the setup for several repositories, and project or local settings files do not override the organization's managed values (as of November 2026). The tecnovy Claude Code Advanced training builds that setup step by step.
07Can we work with our own code?
Yes, in the last part of the tecnovy training you transfer the setup to your own repository and automate a workflow there, as long as your policies allow it. Otherwise you carry on in the sample repository.
08What does the training end with?
With the tecnovy certificate of participation, which you receive at 80% attendance or more. The tecnovy Claude Code Advanced training has no examination, and no certification from Anthropic is attached to it.
09What comes after this training?
You can continue with tecnovy's Claude Code Expert, where you design multi-agent workflows, build your own agents with the Claude Agent SDK, and plan large migrations and the rollout across the company.
