A team can only tell from its own work whether AI assistance is helping. Telling signs include how much effort reviews take, which defects only surface later, and how often generated code has to be reworked. In this training you decide what your team will watch, and you design a development process that brings AI in from requirements through to operations, with shared standards for quality and accountability.
Your team leaves tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams with three agreements: where AI works in each phase, which standards its code must meet, and how you read its effect. For tech leads, engineering managers and senior developers.

As a tech lead or engineering manager you lead a team that is to use AI in a consistent way.
As a senior developer you help shape the rules your team follows for AI-generated code.
You are accountable for the quality and pace of development and want to show whether and how AI contributes.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites
You can start right away. What you need: experience developing software in a team, first experience with AI coding tools.
Consider insteadAI for DevelopersFor individual developers who want to compare AI tools, use them in their own daily work and build a first language-model feature.
Curriculum
AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams in Detail
Five parts follow a change through the development process: from requirements and design, through code, testing and review, to the standards your team agrees for it. Finally you decide how you will read the effect of AI.
01AI across the software lifecycle
The first part sets out where AI can work in each phase and how independently it works there.
Requirements and design: where AI assists
Code, testing, review and operations: where AI assists
Levels of autonomy from an editor suggestion to a coding agent that completes a task in several steps on its own
02Requirements and design with AI
With AI you draft the user stories, designs and specifications that a coding agent can later implement.
Drafting user stories and acceptance criteria with AI
Working out designs with AI
Specifications as the basis for coding agents
03Code, testing and review
You agree how people and agents share the work and which tests and reviews AI-generated code goes through.
Dividing the work between people and agents
Tests for AI-generated code
Reviews for AI-generated code
04Team standards
You turn the agreements into written rules that apply to the whole team and that anyone can look up.
A Definition of Done for AI-assisted work
Guidelines and responsibilities
Data protection, licences and security as conditions of use
05Measuring the effect
Finally you decide how you will tell whether AI is helping your team, and which decision depends on it.
Measures of throughput and quality
Team satisfaction as a measure in its own right
Common pitfalls in a rollout
Outcome
What you will be able to do afterwards
01
You map each phase from requirements to operations: where AI assists and where a person decides.
02
You set, task by task, how independently AI may work, from an editor suggestion to a coding agent.
03
You draft user stories, acceptance criteria and designs with AI and write specifications for coding agents.
04
You define how AI-generated code is tested and reviewed and who approves it.
05
You write team standards: a Definition of Done for AI-assisted work, guidelines and responsibilities.
06
You agree with your team which data and code may go to an AI tool and which licence questions remain open.
07
You choose measures for throughput, quality and satisfaction and agree with your team which decision depends on them.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
01Is this a tool training?
No. AI tools appear in tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams, but the focus is on process and collaboration. How a team sets up one specific tool together is covered in GitHub Copilot Advanced and Claude Code Advanced.
02Which measures does the training cover?
tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams covers measures of throughput, quality and team satisfaction. Your team decides which ones to collect and which decision depends on them; the training does not predict any particular improvement.
03Does this fit with Scrum?
Yes. The standards from tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams can go into team agreements and into the Definition of Done, which the 2020 Scrum Guide describes as the quality measures an increment has to meet. Where several Scrum Teams work on one product, they share one Definition of Done.
04May we use AI-generated code in our products?
Your organisation decides, based on your AI provider's terms, your own policies and the licence questions generated code can raise. In tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams you set which questions must be settled before use and who settles them; the training is not legal advice.
05How does this training differ from AI for Developers?
tecnovy's AI for Developers is for individual developers who compare AI tools, use them in their own daily work and connect a first large language model (LLM) feature through an API. AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams assumes first experience with AI coding tools and sets out how a whole team uses AI in its development process.
06Does the training end with an examination?
No. tecnovy's AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams ends with the tecnovy certificate of participation, which you receive at 80% attendance. No vendor certification is attached to it.
07What comes after this training?
For reviews, the next step after AI-Assisted Software Development for Teams is tecnovy's Code Review with AI workshop. There you build a workflow in which specialised AI agents give pull requests a first pass for security, tests and architecture, while a person still approves.
