01How do you decide which AI risks to treat first?
By impact, likelihood and the resources available: that is how the NIST AI RMF 1.0 prioritises the treatment of documented AI risks. It lists mitigating, transferring, avoiding or accepting as possible responses, and in tecnovy's AI Risk Management training you justify that choice for the risks of a case study.
02What is the NIST AI RMF?
The NIST AI Risk Management Framework 1.0 of January 2023 is a framework for voluntary use from the US National Institute of Standards and Technology. It organises work on AI risks into the functions Govern, Map, Measure and Manage, which NIST says follow no fixed order. NIST is currently revising its framework (as of November 2026), and in tecnovy's AI Risk Management training you apply the four functions to an AI system.
03How do ISO/IEC 23894 and ISO 31000 relate?
ISO/IEC 23894:2023 gives guidance on risk management for AI, and ISO names the general risk management standard ISO 31000:2018 as the basis of its development. That 2018 edition is current and is being revised (as of November 2026). In tecnovy's AI Risk Management training you use both to connect AI risks to existing risk management.
04What part does the EU AI Act play in AI Risk Management?
The EU AI Act classifies AI systems by their risk and, in Article 9, requires a risk management system for high-risk AI systems. As of November 2026 the high-risk obligations apply from 2 December 2027 for Annex III systems and from 2 August 2028 for Annex I systems. In tecnovy's AI Risk Management training you place a system in the risk categories, but that does not replace a legal review of your system.
05Do I need technical knowledge for AI Risk Management?
No, tecnovy's AI Risk Management training does not assume in-depth technical knowledge. You should bring basic knowledge of AI and of risk management.
06How does AI Risk Management differ from Responsible AI?
tecnovy's AI Risk Management looks at every kind of risk in an AI system, technical, legal, ethical and supplier-related, and brings them into the organisation's risk management. Responsible AI goes deeper into fairness, transparency and human oversight, practising bias testing, model cards and sign-offs.
07Where do I go after AI Risk Management?
To go deeper into security risks, take tecnovy's AI Security & LLM Security training. It covers attacks on models, applications and agents, and the protective measures against them.
08Is there an examination or a certification at the end of AI Risk Management?
No, AI Risk Management is a tecnovy training with no examination and no certification. If you attend at least 80% of it, you receive the tecnovy certificate of participation.
