    If you are new to IT, Tech+ / ITF+ is the entry point. For IT support A+ fits, for network experience Network+. For cybersecurity you start with Security+ and deepen with CySA+.

  2. 02 What is the difference between ITF+, Tech+, and A+?

    Tech+ is the current foundation certification (formerly ITF+) and teaches IT fundamentals. A+ is support-oriented, comprises two exams, and is aimed at IT support roles.

  3. 03 Should I do A+ or Network+ first?

    A+ covers hardware, operating systems, support, and troubleshooting. Network+ focuses on networks. CompTIA recommends A+ plus 9 to 12 months of experience for Network+.

  4. 04 What is the difference between Network+ and Security+?

    Network+ stands for connectivity, devices, operations, and monitoring. Security+ stands for threats, security architecture, identity, risk, and compliance.

  5. 05 Who is CompTIA CySA+ suitable for?

    CySA+ fits security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management. CompTIA recommends Network+ / Security+ plus around 4 years of experience.

  6. 06 Do I have to take the CompTIA certifications in a fixed order?

    No. The order from Tech+ through A+, Network+, Security+ to CySA+ is recommended but not mandatory. You enter where your prior knowledge and goal align.

  7. 07 Are CompTIA certifications vendor-neutral?

    Yes. The exams are not tied to a single vendor or platform. The concepts and methods are applicable across different environments.

  8. 08 How long are CompTIA certifications valid?

    Tech+ / ITF+ is good for life and does not need renewal. A+, Network+, Security+, and CySA+ are valid for 3 years and are renewed through the CE programme.

  9. 09 Are all CompTIA exams available in German?

    Not all. Network+ is currently offered in German. Before booking, check the language of the respective exam for Tech+, A+, Security+, and CySA+.
