Neil is a Hall of Fame Tableau Visionary, data visualisation expert, blogger, speaker, and published author. With many years of experience in corporate Business Intelligence roles as well as a broad personal portfolio, he combines deep practical expertise with a strong design-driven perspective on data.

His work ranges from best-practice data visualisation examples to unconventional data art projects that reflect his belief in design-led data communication. As a former director of the Data Visualization Society, Neil has also played an active role in shaping the global data visualisation community.

Neil has been invited to speak and run workshops around the world. Today, he is a passionate advocate for data and AI fluency in organisations, with a strong emphasis on Data Storytelling as a key capability for enabling informed and effective decision-making. His first book, Questions in Dataviz, was published in 2022.
